While this change may be favorable for some, I fear that it's destroying a lot of hopes for more serious writers on this platform. The income I make on Medium supports me quite a bit. Unfortunately, I've noticed a jaw-dropping decrease in both my earnings and traffic. I made about 65$/day last month. I'm currently sitting at less than 19$/day. Less than a third. The same goes for some of the folks in this comment section. I hope Medium can find a middle ground to make writing here seem more accessible and fair to newer writers while still supporting more consistent writers. Don't get me wrong, I love this platform and am incredibly grateful for the opportunities it has given me...but this just feels strange after Buster stated that earnings will remain pretty stable, only moving a percent or so in any given bucket.
