As a kinesiologist, one of the concerning trends I often see with my clients is their lack of confidence in moving beyond ‘everyday’ ranges of motion. This is especially apparent throughout the shoulders, mid-spine, and hips as there is a lot of weakness and instability that resides here. Fortunately, this can be easily fixed if you work to improve your mobility in areas like the thoracic spine and hip flexors. These movements are surprisingly simple to do, we’re just not doing them enough.
