The adductors, colloquially known as the groin, are a group of muscles located along the inner thigh. While often neglected, they play key roles in internal rotation and stability of the leg during running, jumping, and other frequent activities. Any time you cut, decelerate, or change direction, this muscle group is working tirelessly to ensure the hips can support what the upper and lower body is doing.

This area takes mere minutes to train each week but can be the difference between optimal performance and debilitating injury. To keep you on the healthy side of the spectrum, there are three exercises that I believe to be essential for everyone’s routine. These are simple movement patterns that require very little equipment and can be done virtually anywhere.
