As a kinesiologist, I often tell my clients that the best health advice is boring. It’s typically stuff that we already know, yet choose to ignore or put on the back burner in the endless pursuit of newer, better, trendier fads. While health & wellness science is constantly evolving and improving, many of the foundational pillars that make up healthy, sustainable living have been set in stone for quite some time now.

I’m intentionally straying away from my typical ‘exercise prescription style’ post today because I feel inspired to touch on wellness from a wider lens. In the context of our health, we can often get into the nitty gritty of optimizing every little detail without taking time to zoom out and remember what matters the most. Just like the Pareto principle (stating that 80% of outcomes come from 20% of causes), there are a few simple lifestyle changes that will always have the most transformational effects on your health.
