If your hamstrings feel chronically tight, I have good and bad news for you. The bad news is that it’s likely that you’re not stretching and strengthening this muscle group properly. The good news is that this is incredibly easy to fix and requires no equipment.

While many of us have been taught to flex the trunk and desperately reach for the toes to stretch out the back of the legs, this is far from the best technique. Sure, assuming a position that appears athletic or mobile may look impressive, but we’re often cheating ourselves by doing this for multiple reasons.
