Once you discover the beautiful marriage between strength and mobility work, it will become the most important priority of your health and wellness journey. Combining these two key training aspects into one allows you to save time and build functional strength that can be applied to all avenues of life. While elite athletes frequently utilize this philosophy to optimize performance and prevent injuries, I’d argue that the more vulnerable populations need it the most.
Whether you’re an older adult struggling with age-related stiffness, or you’re recovering from a nagging injury, this short mobility routine is something I would highly recommend to virtually everyone. These are exercises I’ve been teaching my clients for years, and I haven’t met one person who hasn’t responded well to them if applied at the right dose and intensity.
