If you’ve read any of my work, you’ll know I’ve been preaching the message of mobility as ‘movement is medicine’ for a while now. While you may question how often I bring it up, I promise it’s more than just a catchy slogan. It’s one of the leading methods to maintain healthy joints as you age, and it’s a gateway to improved independence. I should also mention that mobility training is free, non-invasive, and accessible to virtually every able-bodied human on this earth. That’s kind of a big deal.

In an ever-growing culture of consumerism and fear-mongering within healthcare circles, we must remember the simple yet transformational basics that we can all be doing for better wellness. Yes, pills, surgeries, and other medical modalities have their time and place, but they should only come after we’ve exhausted all of our other options. This is all about looking to primary prevention strategies first before getting into more invasive approaches.
