If You Want Stronger Legs, Stop Believing This Harmful Squat Myth
You’re missing out on huge fitness gains!
The squat isn’t the end-all-be-all lower body movement. At the end of the day, it’s just another exercise with its own set of pros and cons. Unfortunately, many gym-goers and athletes swear by this movement and are hesitant to branch out to other calisthenic-based or machine-based variations. Today I want to help set the record straight that there is not one ‘best exercise’ for the lower body. Rather, you should be focusing on a variety of movements that best suit your current fitness and goals.
For whatever reason, there are plenty of machine-based lower body exercises that get a bad reputation for being dangerous and unfunctional. When you start to peer into the rationale, however, you can start to see that we’ve built a narrative that just doesn't make sense and can even prevent us from maximizing lower body strength.
