To help you overcome this and build better habits, I want to introduce a few simple exercises you can do at home or in the office to build more function and resilience in your postural muscles.
Just to be clear, my goal here is not to ‘fix your posture’ and get everything back in perfect alignment, but rather to build strength and endurance in neglected muscles that will help with pain management. I’m a firm believer that there isn’t one perfect posture and that you should put your energy and focus into switching up your posture more often and targeting weak muscles in the posterior chain.
