Here’s a 5-Step Exercise Plan for Overcoming Knee Pain
Can you make it to the end?
While the origins of knee pain can be complex, the road to recovery doesn’t have to be. For virtually all individuals suffering from minor knee pain (the daily aches and pains or minor tendinitis that many of us struggle with), going through this graded exposure routine will work wonders. Not only is it good for relieving symptoms, but it fosters strength and function that will carry you through all of the physical tasks that are important to you.
There are three themes I want you to focus on while going through these graded exercises. First, we must begin by expanding range of motion, then load up movements in that ROM, and then finally get more impact-based exercises going. While this may sound intimidating when starting from ground zero, we’ll take a gradual approach guided by your pain and perceived exertion. If you have patience and keep the long game in mind, you’ll be well on your way to healthier knees!
