Do you know those times when your back is just feeling a bit off? Perhaps you’ve been sitting for too long or you strained something at the gym. Whatever the case may be, movement is almost always the answer over bed rest. You just have to make sure to select the right stretches and mobility exercises for your situation.

While I like to say that I keep pretty pain-free, I had a tough bout of back stiffness last week due to excessive sitting while traveling. Whenever I run into these setbacks it’s always a humbling reminder that no matter how fit or mobile I think I am, sedentary behavior will come back to bite. This was also a fantastic reminder of just how powerful even the simplest of stretches can be to relieve pain and get the body back to a state of equilibrium.

In this short program, you’ll find three exercises along with a couple of warm-ups, all of which require very little equipment. Whether you’re deep in pain or you’re looking for a prevention tool, this routine has you covered! Let’s dive right in and get that…
