Core training is incredibly frustrating for one reason: it’s so simple in principle, but it takes a ton of discipline to get your butt in gear and do the work. I’d argue that most of us could build abs of steel (meaning a strong, functional mid-section void of weaknesses) with just 5-minutes of training per day…yet so many of us procrastinate on doing it.

As a trainer and kinesiologist, this is hard to see, but I totally get it. Core training isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Just like any other region of your body, if you want to enhance your strength and endurance, you have to get uncomfortable. To help you overcome this huge barrier, I’ve packaged up an ultra-short routine that hits most of the major boxes. With just five exercises, you can develop key areas like the obliques, erectors, rectus abdominus, and more to support a fully, active lifestyle free of injury.

There’s just one caveat.
