A common time for back pain to strike is when you're going through a big change or transition in life. As new stressors pile up and you’re exposed to unfamiliar environments, schedules, and movement patterns, your body can quickly let you know about it. This has been my story for the past couple of months and I’ve noticed a significant increase in back soreness and overall discomfort.

Yes, that’s right. I struggle with back problems too. ;)

While it can be discouraging to go through seasons of not feeling your best physically, I always view them as opportunities to explore new exercises and learn more about your body. For example, I’ve picked up three new movements through trial and error in the last few weeks and they’ve been making a huge impact on my pain outcomes.

While I wouldn’t have thought to give these unusual exercises to my back pain clients in the past, my recent moments of navigating discomfort have allowed me to discover just how effective they can be.
