3 Lower Back Exercises That Shouldn’t Work As Well as They Do
This has helped dozens of my clients find relief after years of agony!
One cause of lower back pain that often goes under our radar is hip instability. More specifically, I’m talking about instability at the sacroiliac joint where the spine and pelvis meet. Although this joint has very little mobility and often goes unmentioned in personal training or kinesiology sessions, it can wreak havoc on your lower back if left neglected altogether.
A mistake I see a lot of clients and gym-goers make is thinking they must address the localized area to relieve the pain they’re experiencing. In other words, if your neck is hurting, you must isolate and strengthen the muscles and joints of the neck to find relief. While this logic makes sense to us, it’s not always a reality.
In the case of lower back pain, the root of it can often lie in instability or imbalances in the thoracic region or hips. To help ensure you’re covering all of your bases while expediting recovery, I want to introduce three powerful exercises targeting the SI joint that will make an immediate impact on your lower back pain outcomes.
