3 Hilariously Fun Exercises To Strengthen Your Wrists
Overcome soreness and age-related injuries in mere minutes!
The wrists are often one of the first areas to atrophy and weaken as we age. They are frequently fractured and sprained in the later years as fall risks rise. This can be prevented, however, if you focus on exercises that target this specific region of your body. While studies have shown general resistance training to significantly improve grip strength (and thus extend healthspan), why not take things a step further by isolating your hands and wrists through exercise?
The short program below includes three of my favorite wrist-based exercises that I frequently prescribe to clients. While these movements can often be mundane, they don’t have to be. Instead of simply checking off another box, I’ve intentionally designed these movements to be engaging and challenging. I hope you enjoy the process of applying these exercises to your routine! Let’s dive right in.
Fun fact: not only does grip strength reflect upper body strength, but it’s strongly correlated to your functionality and independence with daily life activities. For something that only V02max ousts in order of importance, you’d think that more people would be doing it… or at least talking about it. Let’s change that!
